Stop Smoking and Take a Breather

Congratulations! You've most likely been contemplating this decision for awhile and now you're taking action, good for you! It's only a matter of time before you commit to becoming a non-smoker now. Hypnosis is a very effective way to stop smoking but you already know this otherwise you wouldn't be here. You're also here because some part of you already believes you can do this, so let's do it!

The Process

  • Once you decide that this is a good fit, the next step is to choose your quit date. Please take a moment to really feel the significance of this step. You are choosing when you will stop this habit. It's not being chosen for you by a doctor, it is not being forced upon you, you are choosing this. It is the first recognition of the power you have to claim agency over your experience. It is no small thing. You may book your appointment directly online or you can reach out via phone or text at 952-222-3975.
  • After your appointment is confirmed, you will be sent paperwork that needs to be filled out electronically and submitted back. This paperwork helps me get an idea of your needs so I can already begin thinking about the session. After I receive your paperwork, I send you a recording called "Prepare to Quit." I ask my clients to give themselves at least two weeks to listen to this recording regularly during that time. You can listen to it as you fall asleep. I have found that by doing this, it really prepares people for the session. The change already starts to take place before you even get to the office and it is a gentle way to ease into this new phase. IMPORTANT:  please keep this step in mind when you book your appointment. 
  • I will send another set of instructions that I ask you to follow before you come in for the session. Everything is layed out and if you ever have any questions, you can reach out to me at any time. If for some reason, you do not receive anything after scheduling, then something has gone wrong with the automation--please reach out and let me know this. 
  • On the day of your appointment, you follow the instructions that were sent to you and arrive ready to move into a new chapter of your life. The session is scheduled for two and a half hours. We may need less time, we may go a little over but typically the session lasts about this long. The first half of the session is conversational where we take a deep dive into your specific needs and wants. The second half of the session is done in hypnosis and that part is recorded. You receive that recording as an mp3 file that you may choose to listen to at a later date to reinforce the new program you are creating as a non-smoker. I find it a good resource for people to have so I always send it. 
  • After the session is complete, you leave ready to get on with your new way of life, ready to discover more of who your are and enjoying the higher degree of health you create for yourself! We schedule two follow-up phone calls. The first is three days after the session and the second is three days after that. These phone calls are typically enough to deal with any issues that may be arising. 

My sessions are always client centered. That means that the focus is on your specific needs. The structure of this session is the same for everyone but the content is dependent on what is unique about your smoking habit and what you want to be differnet. During our session, you can expect the following to be addressed:

  • How the mind creates illusions to perpetuate habits it has identified as being "beneficial"
  • Self care needs
  • Habit replacement
  • New identity building
  • What is motivating you
  • What to do about cravings

Whatever else comes up in our conversation will be addressed but these are typically the cornerstones for a successful foundation.

This session is not a "try and see" session. We will not be working under the premise of IF this works but instead, what needs to happen for you to be successful. I want to work with people who are at that state where you know you've had enough and are ready. That being said, additional support is available for a discounted rate after the two follow up phone calls. This discounted rate is available to you at any time in the future to deal with any relapses, urges or cravings. Most people need the one session. You can choose to believe, that you too, are in the "one and done" category. I always assume that you are being successful unless you tell me differently.
